Toy Car SPL Challenge

Introducing the USACI Mini SPL Divison.

The latest car audio competition craze which involves kids of all ages is the USACI Mini SPL Division, an open class for battery-powered Toy Cars. The event will be hosted on Sunday and will feature some of the the most passionate die-hard kids competing for the coveted title. Vehicles do not need to be an particular brand but would need to be a self-powered electric vehicle intended for small children. No pedal-cars, go-carts, golf carts, etc.

  • Entries are limited and are on a first-come first serve basis.
  • Event will be held inside The Dome.
  • Entrants must collect their entry packs on Friday 16th September 2016 between 9am to 11pm at the Ticketpro Dome.

INFORMATION

  • Date: Sunday 18th September 2016
  • Time: 11:00am
  • Entry and Registration: Between 6:00am and 8:00am Sunday, September 18th, 2016.
  • Late arrivals will not be allowed and entry fee will not be refunded.

RULES

  • The vehicle must be completely enclosed while any removable panels must remain shut during the run.
  • No vents to the outside. (with the exception of Stock Class)
  • The height of the vehicle can be no more than the length of the hood. This measurement should be taken from the front of the hood to the rear of the hood, closest to the windshield. Example: If the hood is “6” amount of inches then the top of the roof can be no more than an average of “6” inches from the top of the body.
  • The vehicle must have a windshield made of some type of transparent material. The windshield should be about the same width as the hood and at least 3 inches tall.
  • The wall housing the sub(s) and the subs themselves can be no closer than an average of 3 inches to the windshield. These distance requirements will also apply to ports. You are allowed a maximum of two subwoofers however they can no larger than 240 square inches of total area.
  • Battery chargers or power supplies may not be used during judging.
  • Only the head unit and other signal source and processors (equalizers, line drivers, etc.) may be mounted off of the vehicle or in a podium.
  • Amps, speakers, batteries, and other components must be mounted on the vehicle. Amplifiers may be mounted to the outside of the vehicle, on the top, on the sides, etc. All subwoofers must be enclosed. The battery for the system must be mounted under the hood, between the two front wheels.
  • You are allowed to lower or lift the vehicle but you cannot create more area to house equipment. You must also utilize the factory mounting for the wheels and the motors.
  • There must be a removeable panel to allow the microphone to enter the cab of the vehicle. The reading will taken anywhere in the vehicle between the windshield and the front of the box.
  • The most important rule of all… HAVE FUN!
